Rice Pilaf
Easy Indian Cooking
2 cups Basmati Rice
4 cups water
6-8 tablespoons butter or oil
1 packet Rice
Pilaf Mix
1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)
In a large pan, rinse rice 3-4 times to remove extra starch and drain
well.
Add water, butter or oil and Rice Pilaf Mix. Mix well.
Place saucepan uncovered over high heat and bring to boil, stirring
occasionally.
When water reduces to rice level, lower heat to low. Cover and simmer
for 15-20 minutes.
Serves 4-6.
