Kofta (Meatball) Curry
Easy Indian Cooking
6-8 tablespoon oil
1/2 pack Curry Masala Mix:
1-2 medium tomatoes, chopped
2 tablespoon yogurt
2-3 cups water
3-4 fresh cilantro leaves chopped (optional)
Mix together Kofta (Meatball) ingredients. Divide mixture into 12-16
portions and roll into balls. Set aside.
In a large sauce pan, heat oil on medium heat. Add meatballs and stir fry till browned.
Add Curry Masala Mix and stir fry for a minute.
Add tomatoes, yogurt and 1/2 cup water. Mix well. Cover and cook till tomatoes are soft and masala (sauce) is thick.
Add rest of the water, as desired, 2-3 cups. Increase heat to medium high. Cover and cook 6-8 minutes.
Turn heat off. Garnish with fresh chopped cilantro leaves.
Note: To increase spiciness add red pepper or chopped green chilies.
To reduce spiciness and flavor, use less mix and add salt.
