Beef Curry
Best of Pakistani & Indian Cooking & Cuisine

Lean strew beef, cubed: 2 lbs.
1 chopped onion, large
oil or ghee: 2 tbsp.(tablespoons)
Ginger powder: 1 tsp. (teaspoon)
Garlic powder: 1 tsp.
Garam Masala (All spice): 1 tsp.
Coriander (cilantro) powder: 1 tsp.
Cumin powder: 2 tsp.
Crushed red pepper: 1 tsp.
Turmeric powder: 1 tsp.
Salt 1 tsp. Or more to taste.
1 large tomato, chopped
Cider Vinegar: 2 tsp.
Water: 1 cup.
Cilantro and lemon wedges for garnish.

Mix the meat, turmeric and vinegar and let stand for 10 minutes.
Heat the oil and fry the onions, garlic, peppers and ginger over medium heat till light brown.
Add the all-spice and cook with stirring for 2 more minutes.
Then stir in the meat mixture, salt and tomatoes and fry over high heat for 3-4 minutes.
Add the water, stir well, reduce the heat to medium, cover and let cook for 10-15 minutes
till meat is tender, and the sauce is thick as desired.
Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve with Rice Pilaf , Naan or other compliments.
Serves 4-6.
